Hope you enjoyed exploring your creative senses: Sight, Touch, Sound, Smell, Taste, and your Creative Brainpower. The exercises from the last few days were created to help fine-tune your awareness of the wonderful creative world around you. A glimpse, really, at how you can access inspirational resources that are right at your fingertips (and well, your ears, eyes, mouth, nose…).
There is so much beauty and inspiration around us to take in and appreciate. To capture with our senses and infuse every sensory pleasure into our creative lives. And to be thankful for God’s generous attention to detail on this earthly place we call home.
“Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way.”
1 Timothy 4:4
“Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it. We may receive it gladly, with thankful hearts.”
“He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the green grass grow in mountain pastures”
“Now they know that everything I [we] have is a gift from you [God].”
So what are you waiting for… be excited… rip away at the wrapping on those gifts like an excited child on Christmas morning feverishly tearing away at every layer to reveal the amazing prize awaiting them inside. The prize… a more full and rich creative life.
Consciously break away and get off the roller-coaster of life, if just for a moment, each day and linger amongst God’s creation. Experience the awesome sights, sounds, tastes, and smells created for us to delight in. And of course relish all of the glorious textures to touch and loved ones to caress.
Go ahead, get out there and…
Gently run your fingers through the cuddly soft fur of a sweet little kitten…
… or two
Take in the amazing sights, sounds and glorious colors of nature…
Bite into something crunchy and sweet
and take a nice deep breath of the fresh sweet air of the great outdoors!
Most of all, relish every wonderful glorious moment you have on this earth with eyes to see, ears to hear, nose to smell, hands to touch, mouth to taste and mind to ponder over and enjoy all of God’s glory.
May this day be the day you experience His greatness.
